Keeping Your Resolutions

We all enter the New Year with good intentions and expectations and look at our resolutions as a test of our self-discipline.  I have tested myself enough to know that some habits we develop are harder to break than others and sometimes we could use a little help with our goals. The focus of Integrated Bodywork and healing facilitation is to assist in breaking these habit 'patterns' which gives us the ability to create more beneficial patterns in our lives.  Energy and body work can make breaking any habit much easier no matter how difficult it may appear to be at the moment.  Remember, I'm not only referring to smoking, drinking, anger, depression, etc...we can also make a habit of doing nothing!

For the next 21 days share a smile with everyone who crosses your path. The cashier clerk, the gas station attendant, the waitress, a co-worker, the janitor.

A smile is a universal language that everyone understands. A smile that you give someone will be passed on to others, that will pass it on to even more people, and more people and more. Your one smile may reach around the world in one day!

21 Day Thought Challenge

On June 1st we started the 21 Day Thought Challenge where every thought you have counts! If you catch yourself thinking negatively about yourself or someone else, cancel that thought with a positive one.

For instance, if you are working toward a goal and you start thinking thoughts that will sabotage your progress, change your thoughts to positive ones that are in line with success. Another example is if your spouse or co-worker does something that doesn't agree with you and you're thinking poorly of that person, think of something that he/she has done for you that you are grateful for.

Is Your Diet Dead?

The foods that you are eating could be nourishing your body and filling you with vibrant energy or they could be filling you with empty calories that will deplete your health.

When you look in your pantry and find it filled with bright packaged boxes, cans or bags you can be certain that these foods have been highly processed. Processed foods are stripped of their natural vitamins and minerals and filled with chemicals that provide a long shelf life. Unfortunately, these foods are considered to be dead foods, providing you with nothing of value so your body is nutrient-starved. 

If the cells of your body are starved it doesn't function properly. This is the beginning process of illness and disease.

Laughter Each Day Will Keep the Doctor Away

The benefits of a good laugh can add years to your life. When you laugh 15 minutes each day your blood flow increases by 22%. On the flip side, when there is drama in your life your blood flow decreases by 35%. Each day, remember to take in a dose of laughter. You will not only enjoy more happiness but you'll be healthier.
